Eighteen things I learned before I turned eighteen
Alcohol can bring out the best or the worst person in you.
One person, as small as they may be, can consume most of your thoughts. No matter how toxic they are to you.
Running is a gift.
Have more than you show, speak less than you know.
“Just kidding” is exactly what people say when they mean every single word.
It’s never too late to do something you’ve always wanted to do and be whoever you want to be. Love your life and be proud to be alive and living it.
Sometimes you’ll have bad days. Days where you feel half alive. But remember, it’s better to be living half of your own life then your whole life on someone else’s terms.
Sometimes you have to burn bridges to prevent yourself from crossing them again. I’m still working on this myself.
After you have an amazing experience, no matter how life changing it may be, afterwards, don’t be shocked if you’re expected to go home and clean your rooms as if nothing ever happened. That’s just how it is.
If you really want something, you can get it. Just go for it. Go go go and don’t stop for anyone or anything.
You have to accept things for the way that they are. That’s just how it’s meant to be. You can make it easy on yourself, or make it hard on yourself. It’s all up to you, and only you.
No matter how much the truth hurts, being lied to hurts so much more.
Maturity doesn’t mean age.
A lot of art is trying to make someone fall in love with you.
I say my best words half drunk or half asleep.
Act like you trust people, but don’t. Ever.
Life isn’t that serious. Everyone should smile.
Everything has a way of working itself out. Just have faith.
